Announcing the 1st Annual Peloton TT Racing Series.
This 3-event series is scheduled to start Saturday February 14th and run through Saturday March 7th. There will be 3 different TT races, each with an individual winner. Plus, there will be an overall winner crowned from the combination of all 3 race times. The individual winner for each race will be awarded a monetary purse of 20% of the proceeds from the entry fees. The more entrants, the more money to be won! Plus there will be monetary awards given to each age group winners (ages 0-40 & ages 41 +) in the amount of 12.5% of total proceeds from entry fees. The overall winner from each race will be excluded in the age group awards. Finally the overall winner of the combined racing series will be awarded 5% of the total proceeds from all three races. This is a chance for someone to win 4 cash prizes for their individual hard work!! You must compete in all three event races to be eligible for the overall Series Event Champion.
Each individual race will be different in length and level of difficulty. There will be one flat course, one rolling course and one hilly course. Races will be no longer than 30 miles and no less than 10 miles. We want to create a series that every level of rider, whether you're a flat course, "need for speed" cyclist or a climbing specialist to show off your fitness. When it's all over we'll see who's got what it takes to survive the "Peloton Tour" and win the 3 race event. Drafting will NOT be allowed in this event.
From Saturday February 14th through Saturday March 7th you can complete any of these individual races on any day that you choose during business hours. Although we recommend that you do one race per week for best performance you could choose to do all 3 races in one week. You simply have to complete the events on or before March 7th. Each event race is $20.00. You may choose to purchase all 3 races in the Series for $55.00. Members of Peloton Cycling Center pay $15.00 per race or $40.00 for all three races. You can ride each course up to 3 times and your best result will be counted. Credit Cards are accepted. Your time must be prescheduled. No drop ins allowed for the event races. Schedule early to reserve your favorite time.
You may wish to schedule your rides with a group. We are set up to have up to 6 riders together on the same course, and we can have 2 groups of 6 riders spinning at the same time.
What a great way to get your hard effort workout in for the week and compete against local riders to see who can hammer the hardest. This event will be opened to riders from Allen County and the surrounding areas.
